
The Action Group was set up in December 2008 to help customers of Coutts Bank who were advised by the bank to invest in AIG Life Premier Bonds, but who have subsequently found that their money was not as safe as they thought.
To launch the Action Group, an open letter from Sir Keith Mills was published in the British national press, giving details of Sir Keith's grievances held against Coutts. He asked fellow customers to come forward to see how it may be possible to hold Coutts to account and obtain fair compensation.
The response to Sir Keith has been significant and has also shown the depth of effect on customer's lives. You can read the original letter via the tab on the side of this page.
There has also been a significant amount of press coverage, some of which is also included on this site.
More recently, Sir Keith has posted some updates, which include some suggestions on how any respondents might want to approach the FSA.
